Apart from medicines, procedures and supplements, what can I do to help my older pet’s joints?
There are a few things you can do to help your cats and dogs suffering from stiff joints or arthritis:
Make a ramp on hard to reach areas to help them get onto hard to reach areas such as cars or stairs.
Investigate getting an orthopedic bed.
Keep them as mobile as possible but without overdoing it.
Help them on slippery surfaces by using non-slip rubber mats.
Consider changing their food. Find out more about Hill’s Prescription Diet j/d, clinically proven to help dogs walk, run, play and climb stairs more easily, by soothing aching joints and preserving healthy cartilage. Available for cats too.
